Our Team at Cope COPE Construction and Renovation is ready to train the next generation of Professional Craftsmen. Call our Human Resources Department to discuss your future with COPE. NOTE: This opportunity is for motived, self-starters who demonstrate a solid work-ethic, and who can communicate well in an intelligent phone conversation. About us
Shortly before their marriage, Tracey and Drew Cope launched a local non-profit organization in 2002, and started remodeling and repairing homes for low income families and seniors, free of charge. They invested the next 8 years supervising and teaching hundreds of area teenagers various home improvement and repair skills, serving over 200 individual families and contributing almost 90,000 hours of community service to the Southern Chester County Community. In 2010, sensing a shift in their personal mission and focus, the Copes moved away from the group mentoring setting and their teaching roles, to work one-on-one with teenagers in Foster Care. In January 2011, Tracey founded a new endeavor, Cope Home Services, followed in short order by Cope Home Repairs and expanding to COPE Construction and Renovation in 2018, organized under Unshackled Solutions LLC. Their goal, was to create a flexible source of income that would allow them to minister to teenagers trapped in the foster system, and eventually, build a large addition on their home to make room for more foster kids. Working together with Norm Madison, a second generation carpenter with 35 years experience in the trades, who built 250 custom dream homes from 2004 to 2014, the Copes are committed to providing their neighbors in Southern Chester County with professional home construction, renovations and repairs. They enjoy serving clients who both appreciate and value their Experience, and Commitment to Quality. They offer custom dream home master planning, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical services, repair ceiling leaks, provide kitchen & bath upgrades, and much more.

Thank you everyone!! We are honored and humbled to be chosen for this award. Ken summed it up well in his closing remarks... It's just who we are... It's just what we do. May we continue to be a good stewards of this honor and this recognition, for God's honor and Christ's glory.
In case you missed it! The SCCCC Annual Meeting Breakfast was held this morning at Hartefeld National Golf Club. More than 100 members had the opportunity to meet the 2024 Board of Directors and Event Sponsors which included Presenting Sponsor, Comcast and Community Impact Sponsors, Longwood Gardens and The Tri-M Group, LLC. Attendees heard from the 2023 Chairman of the Board, Doug Doerfler, Treasurer, Doug Kook, and CEO Cheryl Kuhn – as they presented the annual business of the Chamber and received an inside look at the accomplishments of the past year and vision of the year ahead. A feature of the breakfast: Presentation of the 2024 Community Impact Award to Cope Construction and Renovation, for their unparalleled commitment to our community. Accepting the award on the COPE’S behalf was Priscilla Guilbert , the client success specialist with the company and one of the COPE’S four adopted children. Priscilla delivered a powerful address, honoring Drew and Tracy for being there for her and many other foster children, for guiding her and helping her learn that in life there are never problems, but challenges and opportunities. Spent some time at TCHS Pennock's Bridge Campus this evening with over 150 local industry professionals in their Fall Occupational Advisory Meeting. We enjoyed a phenomenal dinner catered by the culinary students... and the Award Winning Carpentry instructor, Gary Schmaltz, gave us a tour of the wood shop. Our committee included professionals from both the commercial and residential side of construction: home builders and renovation contractors, commercial project managers, specialty trades, and one of our local building suppliers. As a team, we assisted Mr. Schmaltz with a safety inspection of the shop, and provided our feedback based on current industry standards, and our field experience on job sites. We also talked about the improvements and advancements in battery powered tools and how these are eliminating tripping hazards and making job sites safer by reducing the number of air hoses and electric cord strung across a work site... We talked about current scaffold and ladder safety 🦺 standards across our various different types of work. And shared our appreciation for Mr. Schmaltz and what he is doing to help train up the next generation of trades people who will build, renovate, and repair our homes for decades to come. While I don't have an exact count, I would estimate that there were between 15 and 30 of these committees of professionals across various occupations, meeting with specific department staff members of TCHS. The administration and staff at TCHS value this relevant type of feedback, input & updates from industry professionals, as it helps them to stay current and relevant with their curriculum and ensures they are properly preparing students for the work force. If you know a high school student who is looking for the opportunity to job shadow in the residential remodel and renovation trades, our team at Cope Construction would be open to having that conversation... https://lnkd.in/emGxJsXS
