Oxford Arts Alliance

The Oxford Arts Alliance (OxAA) is a non-profit arts organization located in Southern Chester County. Established in 2008, the OxAA continues to provide leadership and advocacy for the arts and culture. The core of the organization is the Main Gallery which features a monthly exhibition ranging from solo shows featuring local artists to an annual National Juried Exhibition in the Fall. Adjacent to the Main Gallery is the new Emerging Artist Gallery (est. 2019) which promotes talented young artists and gives them the experience of creating a solo exhibition of their work. Additionally, the OxAA includes the Academy of Art and Academy of Music as the educational arm of the organization. Since 2010, the OxAA has maintained a strong educational component to its work. Each week, music students come in for private instruction on a multitude of instruments including piano, voice, guitar, strings, brass, and percussion instruments. Instructors at the OxAA hold qualifications from such schools as the Conservatorio di Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, Mannes The New School for Music in New York, American University in D.C., The University of Delaware, and Lebanon Valley College. The Academy of Art continues its growth as well through private art lessons and classes taught by professional local artists, ceramicists, jewelry artists, and illustrators. Classes such as Portfolio Preparation offer guidance and instruction for students looking to get into colleges, private schools, and other competitive art programs.
